What a joy to have a group of students from the Pan American Institute come to Pilgrims week at Cedar Lake Camp.
The transportation of students and Adult leaders is the behind the scenes mystery of this story.
In the past we used our church van plus other cars to make the journey. Van rental has been used since then adjusted to accommodate the number of campers and leaders.
Art Aslesen has been a Sunday van driver and has transported the Pan American group several times. This year the subject of cost came into view and insurance questions
became part of the equation. Thanks to Trustees checking out the rental details to mesh with insurance requirements, and a blessed volunteer (Sarah Campbell) to drive a
second 7 passenger van, the project was set into motion.
Over the years, the Pan American group has stayed overnight and shared in the Camp Sunday Service and the Burger Bash. . Art and Pat Aslesen have been blessed to host
the group Saturday night for several years.
